Super Hero's were a hit

Eli loved his cake, the hero's and fist are made of Gumpaste and painted with a mix of vodka and luster dust. details were done with edible marker. Cake is Yellow with buttercream icing. I hope everybody likes it.

Baking into the new year.

Well things are going to be on a roll for the next 5 weeks. I have a cake a week, I am so excited.. Super Hero's tomorrow, baby girl baby shower,  Wedding cake, My Daughter's birthday cake, God daughter's birthday,  40th birthday cake, Skateboard graduation cake, lady bug baby shower cake, My mom's birthday cake. Gonna be busy and I love it...... Will keep you in formed with pictures.. 

Merry Christmas

Gold bless one and all. wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and safe travels heading into the New Year. Cooking this morning for dinner this afternoon with the family. Then the girls will be here tonight to do presents with  my mom. Will be posting more later.

Holidays

Well where has the time gone? It's now 3 weeks till Christmas and most of the shopping is done.  Cakes coming up Baby shower, Bears in a forest, Christmas and  Superheros. Working on Gelatin butterflies for a wedding cake next month. Trying different colors with glittery wings. Love playing with new things. Till next time. 

Christmas is upon us.

While working yesterday the kids moved the family room around and put up the Christmas tree. We decorated after I got home. 31 days and counting. I'm glad I did some shopping already cause I don't know what else I''m gonna be able to get them. I love  a white tree. I think it shows off more of the colorful bulbs that you put up.
I can't wait to start the holiday baking. I will probably start it the first week of Dec. Cookies, fudge, candy, yummy.... Love being in the kitchen, just wish it was about  twice as big(and will be when I get done with the changes I plan to make.)  Needs to be more streamline.

Good Evening.

Well Deathly Hallows pt 1 was awesome. I was surprised they stuck as close to the book as they did, that made it that much better. I won't say more on that yet for  the people that haven't seen it yet.
Delivered the baby shower cake today. She liked it. Will be adding that picture tomorrow.
Well I'm off to watch the Disney's version  of Oceans.. Love movies like that.

Opening Night

Today is gum paste day for the baby cloths and accessories, frosting day for the cake and tonight is opening night of Harry Potter Deathly Hollows pt 1.  Woo Hoo.. Must get everything done so I can take a nap and stay awake in line tonight.. Everyone have a great day.

Another Tuesday

Well, on today's docket will be baking for cake balls, Doctor appt.  this afternoon, then home to work on baby shower cake decorations.

Welcome to my area of the world..  I have been decorating cakes for about 4 years for family and friends. Now I am in the process of trying to start my own home business, Thanks to the Cottage Food Law in Michigan. In the process of checking out all the legal stuff before I start anything..  I have done my first few wedding cakes this year as well as birthday, baby shower, bachelorette cakes. Now I am working on cake pops, cake balls and can't wait to experiment more.
